Thank You to all of the area businesses for their financial support.

The North Parkland Athletic Association and Tournament Committee would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped make this tournament a success.  Mother Nature did throw us a curve ball, but through your dedication and love of Baseball, we were able to complete the tournament!!!

At the conclusion of the Tournament, the Tournament Committee rewarded four young athletes with awards.  The awards were for Hitting, Pitching, Sportsmanship, and Tournament MVP.

Notice: The Final Meeting to discuss the 2004 Jr. American Legion Regional we will be hosting is Sunday, July 11, 2004...7:00 PM at the North Parkland Bldg.

The North Parkland Buffaloes Junior Legion Baseball Team will play host to one of the 2004 PA Eastern Regional Tournaments this July.  Eight teams including North Parkland will compete for the opportunity to move to the State Tournament.  The Tournament begins on Tuesday, July 20th and runs through Saturday, July 24th (Championship Game).  July 25th will be used as a Rain Date if needed.

North Parkland has already gained approval from the school district to use the high school field.  If all goes as planned, all of the games will be played on this field because of the use of the lights for night games.  In the event of bad weather, the middle school field will be used as an alternative.  We are very excited to have a facility of this size to play the games.  The space, lights, and press box will allow us to run a first class tournament.

A small committee is already working behind the scenes to prepare for the tournament.  After taking part in several regional tournaments and speaking with the directors of last years tournaments in Emmaus and Kutztown, we are confident that we can run a first class event.  When speaking with these people, one very important issue was always mentioned:  THE NEED FOR DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS!!!  We have already had people step up and assume a task for the tournament.  There are a number of areas where we need help.  If you would like to help out with the tournament, please let us know.

With every ones help and support, we can make this a Great Week!
