***IMPORTANT 2008 REGISTRATION INFORMATION!!!***

 If you have an interest in playing competitive baseball, North Parkland would like to invite
 you to attend tryouts for our travel teams.  On March 15th we will be holding registrations
(rain or shine) at the Orefield Middle School Varsity baseball field.
1:00 PM for players ages 12-13 and 3:00 PM for players ages 14-15.
Your age is based on how old you will be on April 30, 2008.
If the weather permits we will also begin tryouts that day.
Players in these age groups are candidates for the following three teams:

Junior Development (12-13 year olds) - MBC Prep Legion League

 Junior Development is a program run by American Legion and is played on regulation
 sized fields (90 foot bases) to enhance player development.
This team will be hosting the State Championship in 2008 at the Parkland High School Varsity field.  As host this team is already qualified for a chance to compete for the State Championship.  (http://www.scorebook.com\MBCPrep)

Since the Jr. Development Team will be hosting the 2008 State Championship
we have the need for many dedicated volunteers.  If you are interested in helping
and being part of the planning committee, please contact Kurt Weber or Terry Stoudt.
The tournament will run from Sat. July 19 thru Wed. July 23
 
 

Knee-Hi (13-14 year olds) – Lehigh Valley League

This team competes in oldest division of the Lehigh Valley League.

 Junior Legion (14-15 year olds) – Lehigh Valley Junior Legion Baseball League

Junior Legion is a program run by the American Legion.
Champions of league play have the opportunity to compete for a State Championship.

Tryouts will consist of several days.  There is NO registration fee required until the team selections are made.  We encourage you to give it a try and find out for yourself what these teams are all about. 

North Parkland also fields the following teams:
 Upper Macungie (16-18 year olds)...Sign-ups: March 29, 2008 @ 5:00 PM
 Connie Mack (15-16 year olds)...Sign-ups: April 12, 2008 @ 1:00 PM
 Senior Legion (16-19 year olds)...Sign-ups: April 12, 2008 @ 1:00 PM

All sign-ups will be held at the OMS Varsity Baseball Field.

 You must live within the territory assigned to North Parkland by the American Legion
to participate for our teams.  The only exception to this is the Upper Macungie team.
Our legion territory comprises all of North Whitehall Township and
a northern section of South Whitehall Township.
